about

Welcome to the haunted and fragmented world of ... no longer so lonely. A place where light can be found in the darkest of places.

"Is this your first time in Catania?" the woman invites him into her room.

A creaking Carnival Organ grinds into life, singing out the main musical motifs that will carry us into a world where reside -

...the City Boys looking down on on those 'less successful' than they, from a Gents Toilet; a cursed Bombardier who will never return home; the drunken Chansonier failing every time; the children playing in the cemetery; the man haunted by a murdered prostitute; the mourners standing in the snowfall of a late English spring; a man trying to recapture a love he can barely recall; the whistling stranger lost among dancing villagers; a rescue worker who could not keep his promise; the dying Father comforting his child; and then ... we are back in her room, to discover we are ... no longer so lonely.
